SUCCESS!
Expanded melon farm works perfectly now! ABBA gate eliminated two inputs from the setup, so now everything can be operated with a single lever, rather than three. Zero risk of the water uprooting any crops before the system resets, the entire setup fits within a 17x17x6 box (19x19x8 including the casing) AND it auto-collects.
Deservedly fistpumped when the last field test worked. For once...

I hate how anal I am about how every room has to be designed to the exact same dimensions, and how said dimensions are always a square of odd lengths, and how every little sub-part of the room has to be perfectly symmetrical or else I’m not happy and ahsfaghdjldgjgrrrrrrr.
On the bright side, I fixed that melon farm problem (thank god pistons are transparent), and this 2x14 unit sand...
