Depends on the flight altitude at the time of ejection. 2000mph at 80,000 feet is, in actuality, about 400-500mph on ground level.
Well I’ve done a bit of reading into sonic booms, and if it doesn’t cause any injury from 30m away at essentially ground level, I doubt it’s going to do anything...

My latest plot idea has left me with some hard-to-address concerns.
If you bailed out of a fighter jet that was doing Mach 4, would you feel a shock wave? If so, would it be lethal at that close range?
How much g-force would you experience as drag decelerated you? Could you pass out due to that kind of deceleration? On the other extreme, is it even possible to survive that kind of deceleration?

In news somewhat related to my previous post, I had a freaking great dinner at that restaurant. Bruschetta and oysters kilpatrick for entree, and veal topped with prawns, asparagus and salmon for the main. Didn’t even have room left for dessert.

I seem to have this “zone”, where if I can get past the (usually) three hours of numbing, relentless drowsiness that usually comes with being awake for longer than 16 hours (my ‘normal’ day is 15:9), I turn into an energetic, sociable wisecrack, as opposed to my usual very introverted self.

Story idea: A flourishing steampunk society draws its power from a looping combination of gravity-fed water wheels and geothermal steam turbines. The antagonists try to exploit the turbines’ inherent precariousness to destroy the society’s power source.

Everyone’s making giant, awesome-looking megastructures and figuring out the new mods, and I’m just sitting here trying to crack 256kEU/t fusion power.
To paraphrase Michael Jones, I’m like an abused wife when it comes to GregTech. I loathe it, but I keep coming back for more and obsessing over it.
I wonder why it is that, on the list of things I want to know about someone (whether they be people or fictional characters), height is the third thing on the list, after appearance and name.

Upgraded to the latest FTB Ultimate pack earlier today, and all I can say is…

On a related note, within six minutes of tinkering with the new pack, I’d figured out a way to turn 4 redstone into 2 million EU.
